Service Description

Class will start with a batik demo, by Singapore's renowned batik painter, Mr Ika Zahri Sarkasi Said. Mr. Ika inherited his talent from his late father Mr. Sarkasi Said and has been teaching batik for 30 over years. Batik is the art of wax-resistant dye on fabrics to create beautiful and colourful designs. Learn how to design your batik with wax. Chanting is the technique of waxing batik on the cloth. Each student will be give a chanting to draw your design, followed by painting your art work.
